Two Dreams...

One odd. The other gratifying.

When I was taking a short nap before I launch into my studying yesterday, I had this weird dream. It was really short. I dreamed that the US had made it a rule that everyone has to have only one first name, and can only be called by one first name. Yeah, essentially, in the dream, it meant that I can be called Shu only, instead of Shu Ying. Hahaha, really weird right? Maybe my subconsious mind is still too accustomed to an authoritarian ruler. Ok not that Malaysia was authoritative, but when it comes to racial rights, she is. And now with all the Anwar stuff going on, the government to me, is really, deteriorating to the core. I'm definitely not buying the same story that popped up, was it 10 years ago or what, I can't remember, but definitely not going to take the government's word for it this time. Not that I did last time.

The second dream that I woke up with tears from: Sheng Yee, Siew Lee and I were finally reunited! I think it's when we are in our late twenties or so. It was a super great feeling. I still can see the three of us together in a hug, I think it's back in Malaysia, not very sure. Then, we were telling each other our friendship have come so far, and still so true. Hahaha, that felt really awesome, and so drama-like that I actually cried in the real world out here. When I woke up, I had tears in my eyes, my nose was drippy and stuff. Gee, get a grip on yourself woman!! Well, this dream definitely had something to do with my recent meeting up with Siew Lee and the conversation with Sheng Yee on Sunday morning. I kept telling people to dream of me, but always end up me dreaming of them. Am I the only one who's so pathetic that I only have these things to dream of? Sigh...

I think I must've been really stressed up for this morning's organic chemistry midterm. Haha, after the exam, I was thinking to myself, why did I get myself so stressed up for? The aldol reactions, the Michael additions, the Robinsson annulation, the Claisen's condensation were all designed to make you die! So no matter how much you studied for it, you're still gonna die! So what for so stressed?? Yeah, so I seriously screwed up real bad this time, most probably going to fail my first exam here in US. I don't even want to check the answers when it's posted online. I can't take the blow just yet, though obviously I'm preparing myself mentally for it now.

Katsamanis, is a Greek last name. Wow.
